The Government of Mozambique (GoM) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Mozambique Energy for All Project (ProEnergia), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract for Supply of MV and LV Line Accessories, Installation and commissioning of MV and LV lines, Service connection for Mozambique Energy for All Project (ProEnergia)

The Electricidade de Moçambique, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of MV and LV Line Hardware, Installation and commissioning of MV and LV lines, Service connection for the project.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” July 2016, revised in August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Electricidade de Moçambique, EP (EDM), Social Energy Directorate (DES) from Mr. Sílvio Nurmahomed, or by email to silvio.nurmahomed@edm.co.mz ; angelo.amagaia@edm.co.mz; samuel.govene@edm.co.mz; and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 7:30h to 15:30, Monday to Friday, at the address given below.

The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 100 or in a convertible currency. The method of payment will be cash to (EDM’s Central Treasury Department – “Tesouraria Central da EDM”, at Avenue Agostinho Neto No. 70, Maputo Mozambique) or by wire transfer to EDM, EP., account at the address below. The document will be sent by e-mail or CD or Pen or hard copy.
