The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Mozambique Energy For All Project (ProEnergia), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) are the selection of an Environmental & Social Specialist to oversee for the environmental impact assessment studies associated with the PROENERGIA and PERIP projects, including the development of mitigation measures during the design, construction, and implementation phase, and submission of all reports and licensing information. Will also plan and coordinate all social safeguards activities under the ProEnergia and PERIP projects.
The specialist shall work side by side with the EDM Environmental and Social Unit and under his/her direct supervision.

The Electricidade de Moçambique, E.P now invites eligible individual consultant (“Consultants”) to Express their Interest in providing the services. Interested Individual Consultants should provide information. The short list criteria are:
CV’s indicating appropriate qualification, experience and skills in the energy sector, description of similar assignments previously carried out, experience in similar conditions in SADC and other regions shall be attached as supporting documentation for the expression of interest.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
The Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Selection Individual Consultant Method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
