1. The Government of Mozambique, has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") towards the cost of Rehabilitation of two EDM Training Centres in Maputo and Chimoio. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Refhabilitation Works for Maputo and Chimoio Training Centres;
2. The Electricidade de Moçambique, E.P. (EDM) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of Rehabilitation of Maputo and Chimoio Training Centres ("the Works");
3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of EDM, Avenida Eduardo Mondlane, 20 Andar, Nr 1352, Email: aca[1]demy@edm.co.mz and octavio.tereso@edm.co.mz;
4. The payment will be through deposit in Metical in the EDM account bellow and the bank deposit slip to be presented to the TREASURY of EDM located on Av. Agostinho Neto, N70, Ground, to obtain the respective receipt. 5. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 6.450,00 MZN;
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of AFD's Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Works;
7. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 14:00 PM on 17 May 2021 and must be accompanied by Bid Security of 45.000 EUR;
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14:00 PM on 17 May 2021 at the offices of EDM, located at avenida Eduardo Mondlane/Amilcar Cabral, Nr 1352, second floor;
9. A mandatory and joint site visit to the project sites will be held on 20 April 2021, 9:00AM (Maputo premises), and 23 April 2021, 09:00AM (Chimoio premises). All the cost related to the site visit is full responsibility of the Bidders.
