Responsibilities
The Directorate of General Services is responsible for ensuring that all the Directorates have installations, areas of work, services, materials and vehicles necessary to achieve the objectives of the business. The Directorate of General Services assumes the leadership in the incorporation of smart technologies in fleet and property management of EDM. This Directorate is also responsible for planning and designing installations, estate property management and inspection and management of construction works.
It is also its responsibility to manage the warehouses through management, planning, storage and distribution of stock of materials, spare parts and operational equipment required, based on the current and dynamic evaluation of the needs and the trends of consumption. Amongst its functions, it is the responsibility of the financial management of the Staff Social Fund in order to ensure its financial sustainability as well as the satisfaction of funding requests presented by the staff.
This Directorate reports to the Executive Director for the Portfolio of People and Corporate Services.
