ARTICLE 31 (Safety and Property environment protection)

01 The supply of electric energy shall comply with the safety regulations in force, as well as the technical standard practice of the electricity industry to electric installations, these procedures must be established in order to eliminate all possible predictable hazard so as people to take every precaution to prevent from damage of assets without, however, hindering free and regular circulation in either public or particular roads and not affect its safety or of other transmission or telecommunication lines or even cause damage to town mains or others.    

02 During the process of establishing electric facilities, it should be chosen the most convenient implantation bearing in mind the environmental and landscape precautions and cross ecologic systems.

03 when sites of the country’s historic and cultural heritage as well as other sites of scientific, ecological, landscape or architectural relevance are situated in the selected areas for the construction of electric facilities, they must be respected and be subject to especial protection measures so that they are not damaged. Further necessary actions shall be taken so that the activities of cutting down trees are reduced to the lowest possible.

 

ARTICLE 32 (Safety Measures)

01 Undertaking any Works that may jeopardise the life of those who carry them out due to the proximity of the electric facilities, or put at risk or cause disturbance to such facilities, shall only commence if there is an agreement between the interested parties on the necessary precautions to be taken.

02 The safety and protection measures to be adopted in order to prevent damage to electric energy facilities especially in the ones that are important for the national electric network shall be subject to regulation.
