The region of Nhamapaza, in the administrative post of Súbuè, in Marínguè district, in Sofala province, is already connected to the national power grid, after the inauguration of the medium voltage power system installed in that part of the country, on 22nd May 2018, by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
At this moment, all the administrative posts of Marínguè are connected to the national power grid, except Canxixe, which is in progress.
With the inauguration of that project, at least 72 customers amongst institutions, commercial and domestic customers were already connected in Nhamapaza. According to the estimates, this number may rise to more than 500 by the end of the year, taking into account that 367 requests for new connections are in pipeline.
The budget of the power grid project of Nhamapaza is about 70 million Meticais and covers an extension of 31 kilometres, from Marínguè to the region of Nhamapaza, passing through the administrative post of Súbuè.
